Don't you just love that name? He says Welsh endearments to her and she and her French maid eat Welsh food. We are treated to swoonworthy Noble who comes to her aid. I love entertaining books like this that are historically factual but not dry and boring. I was not very familiar with the colonial time period but the author makes sure you get a wonderful historical dose of it and I learned so much. She lives in colonial Williamsburg and the author created characters so lifelike I felt I was part of their life. Her world has been turned upside down with her fiance turning his back on her and she is suspected of being a spy for the British. ![]() Just when you say to yourself that you've read all of Laura Frantz's books and they were excellent and she couldn't possibly do it again she takes the Christian fiction world by storm and turns out another masterpiece! Lacemaker Lady Elisabeth "Liberty" Lawson has been making lace since she was five years old. What drew you to this book? Was it the cover,the synopsis,the author,the reviews?
